Eric & Nikole Gonzales​​

 

We are the founders of Tactical K9s—a family-owned training company built on discipline, structure, and trust. Our backgrounds may be different, but together they shape the foundation of how we train dogs and support the families who love them.​

 

One of us comes from a background in law enforcement, with years spent working in high-stress environments where clear communication, accountability, and structure were essential. That experience, combined with work as a dog trainer, youth coach, and lifelong student of discipline and behavior, directly influences our hands-on, real-world training approach rooted in behavioral science, jiu-jitsu principles, and mentorship.

 

The other brings over 20 years of experience in mortgage lending and wealth management financial planning, guiding individuals and families through important life decisions with clarity, patience, and long-term strategy. That same skill set translates seamlessly into helping our clients feel supported, informed, and confident throughout the training process—from the first conversation to long after training is complete.

 

At Tactical K9s, we believe training isn’t just about obedience—it’s about creating calm, confident homes where dogs and owners understand each other. Together, we work closely with families to build structure, strengthen relationships, and develop dogs that can thrive in the real world.
